I've been hanging out at Pip's house this weekend. Confession - yesterday I stayed in the house ALL day long!!! It was fantastic! The weather has been stormy with nearly constant rain. There have been mini-tornadoes (i.e. strong winds) that have broken off roof tiles of some houses and tree limbs, that sort of thing. It's Sunday here, and today is the first day that there has been constant sunshine. It's GORGEOUS outside!
In the photos above - Pip hanging out in her living room watching teley (tv). The next two photos are of her pantry and the fridge (I'm always interested in the food and how people store it). The final is a self-portrait with Pipster in the background.
We're currently at Starbucks at Botany (a mall in an area of town that Pip has termed "mini-America". We're the only people in the cafe using a laptop and reading a book. I guess they don't use the Bucks for that kind of thing here. Ah well, I'm totally comfortable and happy to have a grande extra-hot latte that tastes exactly the same here as it would in Reedley.
We're off to GCC tonight to hear one of our former high school students (now a full-grown adult) give a concert or something of the like. I'm not quite sure what it is, actually. But we'll go and show our support!
