Pip and I hosted a Fifth of July open house which ended up being a flat reunion of sorts. A handful of the old Gappers came by to hang out for awhile. But the ones who stayed for a scrumptious dinner were the flatmates and their families. You'll recognize photos of Emily - in the one she's with her daddy (Alex) and in the others she's with Virginia's daughter Bree. On the couch is Angela, myself with Emily, Jillian, Pip, Virginia, and Bree - the flatties and two daughters! Stella was there as was Bree's brother Jack and their dad Roy (Virginia's husband!)
We served yummy food at the party and played a cheesey CD of American patriotic songs. Sure, it wasn't the classic American 4th of July with watermelon and fireworks. But it was a great time to hang out with the flatties and the add-ons (i.e. husbands and kids!).
