Pip and I visited the Weta Cave which is part of the Weta Workshop - the company that does special effects, miniatures, design, and all manner of cool stuff for movies including Lord of the Rings, the Narnia series, King Kong, etc. I am a LOTR fan and was hoping to see Frodo and the other hobbits. They weren't there, but I did see Gollum and an Uruk Hai (I don't know the name of the one). It was very, very cool! The next time you're in Wellington I'd definitely suggest stopping by this FREE exhibit thing.
